Job Summary:
The Buyer is primarily responsible for executing the company buying plan, in line with the direction of the Buying Manager and the Buying Department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Execute buying plan
Makes recommendations for site specific buying plan
Street purchasing
Auction purchasing
Provide store level appraisal support
Remote appraisal
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
2+ years of automotive experience required.
Must be able to pass and hold a Colorado Automotive Sales License.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to work outdoors appraising vehicles.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to travel to auctions when necessary.
